Running on Cargo
The National Theatre for Children is the largest in-school touring educational theatre company in the world. NTC combines live theatre and multi-platform educational materials to communicate complicated messages to hard to reach audiences.

In an effort to add sophistication and credibility to what the National Theatre for Children is doing, a new identity and interactive web experience were concepted and pitched.

The new logomark removes the generic barriers of the previous mark and brings the personality of NTC center stage. The mark is created by three separate stage lights shining down on the letters NTC. Three lights were used to represent the 3 ideals that NTC represents: Teach, Entertain, Inspire. When these three lights merge, they create a jester hat, which talks directly to the nature of NTC as a Theatre Company and to the playfulness in which they present their material.
